CallGPT

What happens between the ring and the call report

CallGPT connects a phone line to a voice AI model, and gives that model tools to act: calendar, transfer, message taking. Here is the path of a call, and what to know before you plug in your number.

The path of a call

  1. 1

The call arrives on the agent's number

A number booked in CallGPT, or your usual number whose calls are forwarded to the agent. Telephony is provided by Twilio.

  2. 2

The voice goes live to the voice server

CallGPT's voice server, hosted in France with Scaleway, receives the sound of the call as the conversation goes on and records it.

  3. 3

The AI model listens, answers and acts

A real-time voice model understands the caller and answers aloud. When something has to be done, it asks the server to run a tool: read the calendar, book, transfer, hang up.

  4. 4

The call ends up in your dashboard

Recording, transcript and analysis: reason for the call, outcome, appointment booked, message left or qualification answers.

Audio quality, honestly

The agent works with everyday phones: a mobile, a landline handset, a speakerphone or a hands-free kit. The caller has nothing to install or change.

As with a person on the line, understanding drops in a very noisy place, on a weak mobile signal or when several people talk at once. The agent may then have to ask for repetition. For calls where numbers, dates or addresses must be noted accurately, choose the “Maximum precision” model.

Every call stays available in the dashboard with its recording and its transcript: you hear exactly what the caller heard, and you correct the instructions accordingly. The agent takes calls in French.

Language and phone numbers: what to know first

CallGPT is built for French-speaking businesses. Please read these limits before you sign up: they apply today.

  • The agent takes calls in French. We do not offer calls in English or in any other language at this stage.
  • The phone numbers you can book are French landlines: geographic numbers starting 01 to 05 depending on the region, or 09. There are no local numbers in other countries, and no mobile numbers (06/07) in self-service. For a mobile number or a number in another country, write to us.
  • Outbound campaigns only call French landlines and mobiles. WhatsApp messages sent by an agent only go to French mobile numbers.
  • The dashboard you reach after signing in is in French.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install software or equipment?

No. Everything is set up from the dashboard in your browser (the dashboard is in French). To try it, the agent calls your mobile; it is then plugged into a number.

Can I choose the agent's voice?

Yes. Several voices are offered in the agent's settings; you can listen to them during a test call.

Are my callers told about the recording?

It is up to you to inform them, for example in the agent's greeting. The agent announces by itself that it is an AI.

Which phone numbers can I get?

French landline numbers only: with the area code of your region (01 to 05), or a 09 number with no geographic attachment. A company document may be requested. There are no local numbers in other countries and no mobile numbers in self-service; for a mobile number or a number in another country, write to us from the Contact page. The agent answers calls in French.
